What’s Included & How the Experience Unfolds The journey begins slowly. After a quiet introduction and fitting of snowshoes, you step into the winter landscape with huskies moving beside you—alert, calm, and at home in the North. Guided through forest and open terrain, the walk unfolds at a steady pace, allowing time to read the land, move with intention, and share the silence. The snowshoe journey lasts approximately 3 hours. From cold air and movement, the experience flows naturally into warmth. A wood-fired floating sauna awaits by the Arctic Ocean. Over 1.5 hours, heat, sea, and stillness shape a traditional Nordic ritual—unhurried and deeply restorative. Hot drinks are served to ground the experience and mark the transition from journey to rest. Included: - Guided snowshoe journey with huskies - Snowshoes and poles - Wood-fired floating sauna by the Arctic Ocean - Hot drinks (hot chocolate or tea)

Booking This activity is upon request and can be booked by using the request form on the bottom of the front page. Nomads of Ruija – Terms, Conditions, and Liability Welcome to Nomads of Ruija. Our experiences take place in remote Arctic and sub-Arctic regions. To ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure, all guests must read and accept these terms. 1. Booking & Cancellation >14 days prior: Full refund minus 5% administrative fee. 7–14 days prior: 50% refund. <7 days or no-show: Non-refundable. Late arrival: Guests arriving >30 minutes late may forfeit the experience without refund. 2. Operational Conditions & Force Majeure We may adjust, postpone, or cancel experiences due to weather, safety, logistics, or other uncontrollable factors. In such cases, guests may choose a full refund or rescheduling, subject to availability. 3. Minimum Participation Some experiences require a minimum number of participants. If unmet, guests will be offered a full refund or an alternative arrangement of equal value. 4. Assumption of Risk By participating, guests accept the inherent risks of nature-based and expedition-style activities, including severe weather, remote terrain, physical exertion, and limited access to medical services. 5. Health & Responsibility Guests must be in suitable physical and mental condition and disclose relevant medical issues. We may refuse or discontinue participation if safety, comfort, or experience quality is compromised. 6. Insurance All guests must hold comprehensive personal insurance covering travel, medical emergencies, accidents, and evacuation. Nomads of Ruija is not liable for injury, illness, evacuation, or loss of personal property. 7. Limitation of Liability To the extent allowed by Norwegian law, we are not liable for injury, illness, death, property loss, or delays caused by weather, third parties, or force majeure. 8. Conduct Guests must respect local regulations, nature, cultural sites, and staff guidance. Non-compliance may result in removal without refund. 9. Acceptance By booking or participating, guests confirm they have read, understood, and accepted these terms in full.
